Robin Guthrie "Songs to Make My Children Sleep" (2009)

EP, four light guitar ambient dreamy compostions.
Though I like more his last album "Carousel" (2008) in the same style.
Highly recommending.

right now, leyland kirby's sadly, the future is no longer what it was ... just imagine if steve roach or harold budd with brian eno or robin guthrie suddenly waxed philosophical over derrida and the idea of hauntology. or it's a similar vein to gavin byrars and william basinski

I tried to listen to this misic on youtube - but too heavy for me - generally I don't listen to Steve Roach (and music of his style) exept for 2-3 albums - "Dust to Dust" and "Trance Spirits" which are collaborations and not having usual Steve's sound...
Listening to TD "Tangram 2008". Trying to compare it with original.
Sounds completely different with much of discoteque feelings - still not the most unsuccessful work by Edgar in the last years.

Brendan Perry (from Dead Can Dance) "Ark" (2010)

Album is with electronic sound (many-many electronic strings). If you like DCD - try it.

Pergolesi "Stabat Mater".
Very beautiful, light and sad music.

Anybody listening to anything instead of Vangelis or all of us are too deep in their work?
I'm listening to СD "Arcanum" by Matthias Grassow, Amir Baghiri, Rudiger Gleisberg (2007).
Relaxing slow tribal (i.o. with ethnic drums) and a little bit heavy ambient. I like tracks "The colour of dreams", "Reminiscence"...

a very interesting project/band - Younger Brother - All I Want

first thing i thought about was like : thats very strange and original... a bit like experimental 2000s Pink Floyd lol

then I checked album and after seing the artwork it was like : wow even artwork they have like Pink Floyd, and then I read that designer is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storm_Thorgerson

well check it if you have time. ook maybe not really PF, but something they have similar, but in more experimental electronica sound way.

Thank you, Ilias! Really good track - the first minute seems not so great, but after that melody takes you. Reminds me of some electronic tracks from Alan Parson's "Valid Path" album (Return to Tunguska, Chomolungma)

one of my favourite albums ever ! I think it was a huge mistake that critics and fans didn't understand how ideally it was done by MC. It was his highest point in terms of production and quality.

If you listen carefully then you can understand the ''concept" also, although it's not a traditional concept album of course.

so I am glad you are listening to it and hope you like it

The album by Enigma to which I'm re-listening most frequently.
It's very light.

Peter Brotzmann: Machine Gun

If I Could Describe This Album It Would Be The Most Hardcore Jazz Sound I've Ever Heard.
And With Those Highly Rageous Saxophone Attacks That Are Like Squawking Hard And Screaming In Response, Rapidly Played Drums Similar To Invasion Of Locusts; It Wont Be Suitable For Having A Nice Afternoon In A Weekend
The Album Is Reminiscent of John Zorn's Naked City Somehow.

Title reminds of famous song by Jimi Hendrix.

Last days listening to new EP by Robin Guthrie "Sunflower Stories". Beautiful as always.

...And to

Popol Vuh "For You and Me" (1991).
Strange album for that project.
Light songs - acoustic guitar, piano, manta-choruses.
Re-recoded hit of 70s - "When Love is Calling You"...
Not best work, anyway there are some interesting moments.

Deep Brazil by Eric Mouqet (Deep Forest)

Very positive music as music of Deep Forest. If you like DF - this album (only mp3 release) is the must. Waiting for Deep Africa album.
